SSC has announced that they will release the notification for the SSC CGL 2024 recruitment on June 11, 2024. The SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination) is one of the competitive government exams that is conducted to recruit candidates for Group B and C non-gazetted posts in various ministries, departments, and organizations of the government. The SSC-CGL exam is conducted every year, with more than 7,000 vacancies all over the nation. Candidates who wish to be posted as ASO, AAO, Inspector, AEO, Auditor, and other various departments can apply for the SSC CGL exam from June 11 to July 10, 2024.

Exam Date For SSC CGL examination 2024
According to the SSC calendar, the Tier 1 examination of SSC CGL 2024 is most likely to be conducted in September–October 2024. Only those candidates who have applied for the vacancies will be able to appear for the exam, and those who pass the tier 1 exam will move on to the tier 2 exam. Eligibility Criteria For SSC CGL 2024
It is not possible for everyone to apply for the SSC CGL examination because of certain criteria set by the SSC Commission. There are minimum requirements in terms of education, nationality, and age that a candidate must meet when appearing for the exam. Read below to learn about the criteria:
1. For Inspectors and Assistants
Educational Qualification: Graduated from a recognised university with a bachelor’s degree
Age Limit: Between 18 and 30 years old
2. Auditor, Junior Accountant, Senior Secretariat, Tax Assistant, and Upper Division Clerks
Educational Qualification: You should need a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institution.
Age Limit: Between 18 and 27 years old
3. Junior Statistical Officer
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s with statistics as one of the subjects or Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 60% in math in class 12.
Age Limit: Between 18 and 32 years old
Assistant Audit Officer, Inspector of Income Tax, and Division Accountant
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institute; Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant Secretary; or Masters in Business Studies/Finance/Business Studies.
Age Limit: Between 18 and 30 years old
5. Statistical Investigator Grade-II
Educational Qualification: Should be a degree graduate with economics, statistics, or mathematics as the main subject.
Age Limit: Between 18 and 32 years old
Nationality: In order to apply for the SSC CGL Examination, the applicant must be a citizen of either India, Bhutan, or Nepal or a person of Indian descent from countries including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, and Vietnam.

Selection Process Of SSC CGL 2024 Exam
There are 2 main stages of examination that lead to the selection of SSC CGL Posts. The stages are listed below :
Tier 1 :
Examination Mode : CBT (Computer Based Test)
Total No.of Questions : 100
Duration : 1hr
Total marks : 200
Sections : 4 (English Comprehension, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence and Reasoning
No of questions in each section : 25
Negative marking : 0.50 marks reduction for every wrong answers
Tier 2 :
Examination Mode : CBT (Computer based Test)
Total no of questions : will be different based on the paper
Duration : 2hrs for each paper
Total marks : Will vary depending on the paper
Sections : Quantitative Abilities (Paper I), English Language and comprehension (Paper II), Statistics (Paper III).
Negative marking : 0.50 marks reduction for every wrong answer in Paper I and III while 0.25 marks will be deducted in Paper II (English language and comprehension).

Application Fee For SSC CGL Exam 2024
The application fee to register for the SSC CGL Exam is set at Rs 100/-.
