The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has revealed some of the important details regarding the recruitment drive for probationary officers for the year 2024. This examination is conducted every year by IBPS to recruit probationary officers in various public sector banks in India. Lakhs of candidates appear for this exam with the aim of securing a reputed career in the banking sector. With this recruitment process, close to 4000 vacancies will be filled in 11 Indian public banks, including Central Bank, Union Bank, and Canara Bank.
The notification of the recruitment, along with the number of vacancies, is expected to be released by IBPS in July 2024. According to the IBPS calendar, the preliminary test for PO will be held on October 19 and 20, 2024, while the main exam will take place on November 30, 2024. The average starting pay of an IBPS PO is between Rs 36,000 and Rs 55,000, along with special allowances and other advantages.

To apply for the IBPS PO 2024 examination post, candidate must meet the following eligibility criteria :

IBPS PO Selection Process
The aspirants are recruited for the probationary officers based on three main phases: preliminary, mains, and interview. To get qualified for the IBPS PO post, they must score both a section cutoff and an overall IBPS PO cutoff. If the candidate fails to pass any of the three stages, they will be eliminated from the recruitment process. The prelims stage of the examination just needs qualifying, while a minimum cutoff mark needs to be achieved in the main exams to appear for the interview round.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories: Rs 175/- (intimidation charges only)
Candidates belonging to general, OBC, and other categories: Rs 850/- (application fee including intimidation charge).
