SBI Clerk 2025 Eligibility Criteria


SBI has set certain eligibility criteria that candidates must definitely meet in order to appear for the SBI clerk examination. The eligibility criteria set by SBI in terms of age, education, and nationality are given below: 


Age Limit: To be eligible for the SBI Clerk 2025 Exam, the candidate must be between 20 and 28 years old. However, age relaxation is also provided to category-wise aspirants as per government rules.


Educational Qualification: He/She should have graduated in any discipline from a recognised board or institution. The candidates holding Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) should check their passing date. Final-year students can also apply for the examination but should submit proof of passing the graduate examination before joining.


Nationality: Candidates with Indian citizenship are only eligible for the SBI clerk 2025 recruitment. Nepalese, Bhutanese, and Tibetan refugees arriving before January 1, 1962, and other Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) can only appear for the exam with a certificate of eligibility from the Indian government. 


SBI Clerk 2025 Selection Procedure


Candidates must go through two phases to get qualified for the SBI Clerk exam: Prelims and Mains. A final appointment letter will be given to the aspirant after passing the two stages with qualifying marks. The details of the SBI clerk 2025 are given below: 


Preliminary Exams: This qualifying stage comes up with 100 questions from three subjects: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.


Mains Exams: Candidates who pass the prelims will then go through the Mains examination, which will be a total of 100 marks from four sections: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude.


Final Selection: To secure the final appointment letter from SBI, candidates must pass the main exams and also appear in the language proficiency test along with medical and document verification.

The prelims question paper comes up with a total of 100 questions, with each carrying one mark, and the candidate will be allotted 60 min to complete the exam. For every incorrect answer, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks.

The Mains examination is held in objective type mode, where the candidate will have to choose answers from multiple-choice questions. The exam is conducted online, and the candidates will be given a computer interface to answer the questions.
