SBI PO 2025 Notification has been released by the State Bank of India (SBI) through their official website, with a total of 600 vacancies for the Probationary Officer (PO) position. The SBI PO exam is held every year to select skilled candidates for managerial positions within the organization. It is a dream job for millions of aspirants across the nation as it offers a lucrative pay scale along with career advancement opportunities. 


The application process has been going on for the SBI PO exam, and the candidates will be able to apply till 16 January, 2025. The General/OBC/EWS candidates are charged with an application fee of Rs 750/-, while those belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories are exempted from the fee. It is important for the candidates to go through the official notification to avoid any sort of errors at the time of the application process. Major Changes In SBI PO 2025


As per the notification PDF, there are many changes made in SBI PO 2025 recruitment, including the salary and question paper structure. Given below are the changes made by SBI in PO 2025 recruitment: 


  • Qualified aspirants will now have a starting salary of 48,480,  and the per- month-in-hand salary will vary from Rs 84,000 to Rs 85,000.


  • The Cut-off section will now be present in SBI PO Mains exams


  • In Prelims, the English section will have a total of 40 questions, while Reasoning and Quantitative has been reduced to 30.


  • In Mains, there will be a total of 170 questions in objective-type questions, while the number of questions in the descriptive test has not been mentioned.



SBI PO 2025 Recruitment

SBI PO 2025 Eligibility Criteria


Candidates need to meet certain eligibility criteria set by SBI to appear for the SBI PO 2025 examination. Given below are the eligibility criteria in terms of education, age , and nationality: 


  • Age Limit: To be eligible for the SBI PO 2025 exam, candidates must be between 21 and 30 years old. However, age relaxation is provided to candidates from reserved categories as per the government rules.


  • Educational Qualification : The candidate must be a degree graduate from any recognized university or institution. It is also applicable for the final-year students to register for the exam unless they produce proof of passing the exam on the date of the interview. 


  • Nationality: Candidates must hold Indian Citizenship to appear for the SBI PO 2025 Exam. Nepalese, Bhutanese, and Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before 1st January 1962 and other Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) can apply unless they submit the certificate of eligibility from the Indian Government.


SBI PO 2025 Selection Process 


Candidates must go through three phases to get qualified for the SBI PO 2025 recruitment. The selection criteria and procedures are mostly challenging when compared to IBPS banking exams. The Three main phases of the SBI PO 2025 recruitment is listed below: 


  • Preliminary Examination: This phase is conducted online and comes up with a total of 100 questions for 100 marks with a time duration of 60 minutes.


  • Mains Examination: Similar to prelims, mains is also conducted in online mode and comprises objective tests for 200 marks and descriptive tests for 50 marks.


  • Interview: The final stage will be an interview round that comes up with a total of 50 marks. The candidates will be selected based on a combination of marks obtained in mains and interview stages.

  • As per the notification, there will be no sectional cut-off available in preliminary examination. Thus, candidates will be qualified for the next stage based on the overall score of all sections.


  • There will be a deduction of ¼ marks for every incorrect answer.
